Data is not a goal in itself for Joep Preijde. It is a tool for making sharper decisions, understanding what is really happening and turning complexity into practical next steps.
As a Data Analyst at Reshift Digital, Joep works on Kieskeurig, where he bridges raw e-commerce data and concrete business outcomes. His work includes advertising optimization, financial reporting, and dashboards that are used by both internal teams and clients.
He applies his expertise at different levels: from strategic proposals, advice and interpretation to financial reporting, campaign reporting and realtime dashboards that make live results easier to follow.
His toolkit includes BigQuery, Dataform, Python, SQL, Tableau and Google Data Studio. His broader interests include statistics, machine learning and practical AI applications, especially when they help explain patterns, improve decisions or make complex data easier to use. He is experienced in applying and integrating AI models from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini and Mistral in business work and private technical projects, including analysis support, reporting workflows, automation and making data easier to interpret. His approach is pragmatic and readable: build what is useful, make the logic understandable, and stay close to what the data actually says.
He is also developing further into data engineering, not as a separate identity, but because he wants to understand how things fit together: where data comes from, how it moves, and how the underlying systems shape the analysis.
In his earlier role as Marketing Automation Specialist, Joep worked on campaigns and analytics for online brands including Computer Idee, Computer!Totaal, PCM, Zoom.nl, Zoom Academy and ID.nl.
Data was also central to that marketing automation work: from advising on campaign flows and customer journeys to connecting data between systems. He worked with tools such as Copernica, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign and Zapier.
Outside work, Joep follows technology, finance and the news. The same curiosity runs through those interests: understanding how systems work, what is changing, and what the underlying signals might mean.
